fathers day...

It is Brett's first fathers day being a Dad.  He is such a good dad. I always knew he would be. Though he did not become a father in the conventional way or even one at a time, he has adapted to fit that role and become the father they deserve. My kids adore him. They just can't get enough of their dad. He is the best thing that has ever happened to them and they are one of the bet things that have ever happened to him.

This is my 12th fathers day without my dad being here with me. Time goes by so fast.  Especially now that he would have been a grandpa, I miss him even more than usual. He would have been THE BEST grandpa ever. He was such a fun dad to have. He loved to play with us... we were always playing weither it was him swinging us around in blankets, tickle time, taking us fishing, building forts out of huge boxes that he would go pick up for RC Willey just for that purpose or any of the other millions of things we would do together.  He was not a perfect man. But I think he was he was pretty close to being a perfect father and I know he would have been the perfect grandpa to my girls. I am sad for them that they don't know him and don't get to have that.

Also, happy fathers day to all the father figures I have had in my life. Papa, Jerry, uncles, ect... You have all made a difference in my life. Thank you.
