Layouts

I did a bit of scrapbooking today. I really like to scrapbook but i dont do it very often-- Im not totally creative but sometimes I get good ideas. Today I worked all night from when I got home at 5 till brett got home at 9. This is another reason I dont scrabook more often.. I usually cant sit that long and work. I started a few other layout but these are the ones that got finished.

Nice & Cool

It has been so hot lately. We live in a basement which is a lot cooler then the rest of the house but it has gotten pretty hot and if anyone knows me-- i get really uncomfortable when I'm hot. I get clammy and blotchy skin... So we went to Costco and bought an air conditioner that goes in your window... Well it wasn't that easy.. our TV is right in front of our window and we just rearranged our room and there really isn't another way to arrange it so we went to work on another project- we built a stand for the AC machine to sit on so it would not be blocked by our TV. It wasn't too hard to build.. Thank goodness my husband is creative. It feel so good on our house now-- i love it.

Date Night

Last night was "date night" with Brett.. It is always fun to get alone time and do fun things.
We went to see Wall-e which was absolutely adorable. I loved it. Then we went to dinner and then up to Sundance Resort. On nights that there is a full moon, they have the ski lift going till really late. It is really pretty. We did it once last year and I enjoy it. We actually saw an actress up there... if any of you have seen Dan in Real Life--- we saw the oldest daughter up at sundance. It was pretty cool.

We went to see Wall-e yesterday because all of the showings of the new batman movie were sold out. So Brett got tickets for today. Brett was working so I showed up and hour before the movie started and there was already a good hundred people in front of me. Surprisingly we ended up with good seats anyway. We liked the Batman movie-- it was a little intense at times and pretty violent but it was good.

Our Bedroom

This weekend Brett and I rearranged our bedroom. It had been more than a year since we have done that. I love how it is now....
I need to figure out how to make the big wall less bare.... Maybe I can pull something creative off to put there. I really cant wait to start looking for somewhere else to live in a few months.. living downstairs from my mom and sisters has been so so much fun and its been really nice for us but we are ready to have place of our own. We want to find a townhouse or a small house. It will be awesome to have a place of our own, to be able to decorate how ever I want and just have it be ours. I am so grateful to my mom and Jerry for letting us be here this long.. I know it hasn't helped their financial situation.. but it really has helped us.

Another happening that I thought was cool... Well a little backround info.. I am a little strange at times.... well always but I like to watch my mileage-o-meter change when it hills cool numbers... like patterns or big numbers... anyways. It hit 110000 miles yesterday and i took a picture with my phone. I thought it was cool.

Happy Birthday Mariah!

Last night, Alyssa and her boyfriend Brady and Brett and I went out on Brady's boat. It was really windy and choppy. Brett and Alyssa wake boarded but it was just really windy. Then we came home and showered and went to Chilli's with them. Its always fun to hang out with them.

This morning Brett and I and my two sisters went on tubes down the Provo River. It was fun. Brett is the only one who fell in.. it was kind of my fault-- he was trying to keep me out of this bush on the side and leaned too far.... it was super cold.. I laughed.

Today my Brother Brian and his wife, Nadia had a birthday party for my niece. Mariah. She is 3 years old. They are all getting so big.. Malaki is 5 now and Micah is almost 2. Its crazy.. I love them so much.. It was good to see everyone. My sister Christine was there.. and i haven't seen her in forever. The party was Tinkerbell themed.. Mariah loves the Disney Princesses right now.. She had on a tinkerbell dress with wings. She looked so cute. So we bought her Princess Aurora a dress up dress and shoes and a purse and crown. We were singing happy birthday and Micah put his whole hand in the cake and then put his hand on his face.. it was funny.

The perfect gift

Last night I went over to Mandi and Adam's house to watch their kiddies so they could go to a bishops interview. Brooke and Cameron were both asleep when they left. Brookie stayed that way the whole time but Cameron was up and crying within ten minutes of them leaving-- which is ok. I don't mind- babies cry. So I changed him and was bouncing him and was fine after that (except a little gas) And he just stared at me. It was precious and priceless. He is a beautiful baby and I loved just getting to be able to hold him and take care of him even if it was for a half hour or so. Mandi gave me pictures of the kids that they had taken last week. They are too cute not to post.. plus i like to brag about my adorable nieces and nephews.

Brett got off work at 9 and came over to Mandi's to hang out with me till they got back. He had a present for me. He had told me in California that he was going to draw me a picture from the trip for my birthday. (The whole trip was my birthday gift so I didn't get anything else except dinner) But I wasn't holding my breath or expecting him to really do it. But there it was-- he had bought a frame for it and it took my breath away. I was so excited. Brett is a very very talented artist. He has drawn me pictures like-- one of our engagement pictures, a picture of Christ, and a picture of the Salt Lake Temple. This one is so cute. It has some of My favorite things about the trip-- The baby panda bear and the giraffe that made funny faces from the zoo. Shamu from Sea World, the Castle from Disneyland, Even the picture of when we put our feet in the sand. It is the greatest present ever. Thanks Baby! I love you so much!

Cameron Michael

Today was my Nephew, Cameron's baby blessing. We went to the blessing in Mandi & Adams sacrament meeting at 9 this morning. After the meeting we went over to Brett's parents house and just hung out until church was over and the rest of the family and Adam's family came over at noon. We took pictures and had lunch.

Brooke and Tori are so sweet together. I know that Brooke will miss Tori when they go back home.

4th of July weekend

Friday was the 4th of July. We went to the parade in the morning for a little bit until I had to take Brett to work at 10. I went over to Nana's for a family breakfast, then went home and took a nap.
After Brett got off work we went over to his parents house. Nathan, Brett's brother go a Wii for his birthday so we played that for a while. Brett and I got to take Tori over to watch the fireworks with us at Nana's house. She was scared at first and wouldn't look at the lights but gradually she started peeking and eventually started watching. She really like it. I have had a lot of fun with Tori this weekend.
Today we woke up early and went to the park to take pictures. Brett had to work at 10 so he left after the big family picture. The girls were being so cute. After, I went over to Brett's parents house and hung out for a while. I had fun. I love all the little ones in our family. They all make me really happy. The twins are getting so big and just about the most adorable things ever. And Tori and Brooke are so full of personality. They make me smile all the time and Tori says the most random and cutest things ever. I am so grateful for them..
Tonight was Nathans eagle court of honor. I'm really proud of him. I know its a lot of work to get your eagle. Then we went back over to Brett's parents and we had cake and ice cream for my birthday. Debbie gave me this necklace that I love and we are going to try to find a hammock stand. (she couldn't find one anywhere)

The ride home

Our ride home was so so long.. We were exhausted from waking up so early yesterday. We made it to Primm Nevada and decided to ride the roller coaster there... not like we hadn't been on enough rides all week. But this one was insane!! the first drop is an 85 degree drop. Brett was scared-- and it was funny to see him like that. But it was fun.

We headed back on the road and we made it to Mesquite Nevada and we had to stop... we were so tired. So we stopped and stayed at the Virgin River hotel.

We woke up this morning and got back on the road and got home about 1 this afternoon.
Brett went to work at 3:30, and I am enjoying the rest of my last day off before I go back to work tomorrow.

Goodbye California

Today is our last day here. It is sad that it is over but we are exhausted and we are ready to go home. This morning we went to Disneyland to ride our favorites one last time before we headed home. When you buy a 3 day pass to Disneyland you get a magic morning pass on one of those days-- which means you get to go in the park an hour before it opens and ride the rides. So we were there at 7. Then we went over to California Adventure Park to do our favorites over there. We decided to leave at about noon because we were so tired.

After that, we went home to Aliso Viejo, had some lunch and packed up the car. So we are about to leave to get home. We have had so much fun together this last week and a half.. it was good to get away from home, and work and everything and just be together.
